A water footprint report measures and documents the water your company or product uses and pollutes, both directly and across the supply chain. What Is a Water Footprint?

Blue water footprint: Surface and groundwater withdrawn and consumed.
Green water footprint: Rainwater and soil moisture used in crop production.
Grey water footprint: The theoretical volume of water needed to dilute pollution to environmental limits.

How We Prepare a Water Footprint Report

Method and scope: We select the volumetric Water Footprint Network method or the impact-based ISO 14046 approach depending on your needs, then define facilities and the reporting year.
Data collection: We collect mains, well and surface water withdrawals, process use, discharge volumes and wastewater analyses.
Water balance and calculation: We build a site-level water balance and calculate the blue, green and grey water footprint.
Regional risk assessment: We assess the water stress of the basins where your facilities operate using tools such as WRI Aqueduct.
Reporting: We report the results and reduction recommendations and review them with you.
